{Operation 118} Earth laughs in flowers.

“You’ll really like Katie”, Lisa said as we drove to Shoreham to meet the lady in charge of flower arranging for Nick and Lisa’s big day in May of this year. Katie’s shop is in situated in Shoreham, however, most brides would also know her from The Flower Stand in Hove.

Lisa was right. We walked into the shop and Katie greeted us with a smile. Probably one of the least intimidating vendors I’ve ever met. Super lovely, very creative and best part for me was meeting her little dog Freddie, who is gay and has a boyfriend. Yeah, I know, I giggled too.

Together, we ooh’ed and ahh’ed over all the gorgeous flowers as Katie talked us through a couple of ideas and showed us a few potential arrangements.

“Have you seen pink gypsophila before?”, Katie says and both Lisa and I started drooling as we were shown a picture of it. Needless to say, “Pile on the gyp!”, was one of the most popular phrases that day.

I can’t wait to see the final creations on Nick and Lisa’s wedding day at Newick Park!

And as if Lisa needs another reminder, she grabs her phone excitedly and says: “Only 3 months, 13 days, 59 minutes and 16 seconds to go before the wedding!”

Soooo cute! x

As the poet Ralph Waldo Emerson would say: “Earth laughs in flowers…” so,  I couldn’t help but take a few pictures to capture them as they smiled.  Have a great week ahead peeps!

Enjoy x
