{E-Session} Nick and Victoria

He found love in the way that all men find love. They do not find it through searching, it finds them. Love takes much from a man, especially if he is not ready, however with Nick, that wasn’t the case. Victoria took only his champagne, and he instantly knew she was the one for him, as she moved past him, carrying with her, all the excitement of that peachy New Years evening they first met in a pub in Huddersfield.
Nick and Victoria were together for three and a half years before Nick popped the question on a beautiful beach in Sardinia, as they were both overlooking the bay with it’s bopping boats. Victoria said yes! and now, almost a year later, here we are, talking wedding photography and that secret weather dependent transport Victoria’s mum is arranging to take them from the ceremony to the reception venue…
I met with Nick and Victoria last weekend at the Pub du Vin in Brighton. They drove down from Chiswick for the afternoon, only to find that actually finding parking in the centre of Brighton, on a Saturday, was as rare as a stylish mullet!
We spent hours chatting away as they were sharing all their ideas and plans with me for their big day. There is so much about this wedding that I already love and look forward to capturing, but most of all, I love that Nick and Victoria are so incredibly perfect for each other. Victoria, a qualified funeral director, fried chicken and Frank’s Hot Sauce kinda gal and Nick, a car racing, wine drinking, cigar smoking and countryside loving kinda guy, mirror each other perfectly. As you can tell already, they don’t take themselves too seriously and just when I thought they couldn’t be more perfect for each other, I observed from a distance as they were taking care of the other big love in their life, Benson.
We spent quite some time chatting until I realised it was starting to get dark. We left the hotel and walked to the sea front, where Victoria got some chips for their little stroll down Brighton beach.
The sun was setting really fast so before we knew it, we were slap bang in the dark!
A true reflection of both their personalities, they weren’t afraid to make the most of the trip and so I got my camera out and started to document part one of Nick and Victoria’s own toy story kinda love.
